Stand Up Paddle Boarding

A cross between a kayak and a surfboard, it's great for any age, is the ultimate aerobic workout and most importantly is a lot of fun! These stable and buoyant boards make learning SUP easy and accessible. Whether you are an avid kayaker, surfer or don’t spend much time on the water at all, SUP is suitable for all ages and skill levels. You can paddle anywhere there is water - oceans, lakes or rivers.

Florida, with its endless intercoastal waterways, calm bays and beautiful coast lines is the ideal place to give this sport a go! Unlike the typical kayak, you get a bird’s eye view of the water as you glide with sting rays, dolphin watch, catch up with schools of fish and bask in the sun!

Lessons
Learn from one of our experienced paddle board instructors. We have to warn you, it only takes one lesson to get hooked! Whether you are staying on the beach or downtown Saint Petersburg, we cater to your location and preferences. Name your desired beach or waterway and we'll meet you there! Lessons are available 7 days a week.

Let us assist you in enjoying the perfect beach day. Have fun paddling out and enjoying the aqua blue water as a family. This guided tour, designed to be safe and challenging at once, offers wonderful vistas from the sea as well as an opportunity for self discovery.

Demos

If you don't want to purchase a lesson or rent one of our boards, you can demo. Try our two most popular boards, the YOLO Original and the YOLO Yak. $20.00 gets you a half hour of paddle time at our Paddle Shop, Kahuna Kai, 13224 Gulf Blvd.

Rentals
Spend your vacation like a celebrity! Stand Up Fitness offers a variety of rental options. Let our experts pick the right board for you. Rent daily or weekly for just you or your whole family! Enjoy the view from the top as you experience the ocean like you never have before.

Rentals Include:

Rental Package - pick up/drop offs are available to and from your condo, resort, rental home, or desired beach location for a small delivery fee. No board straps, sore backs or worries! Rentals are available 7 days a week.

- 1 Hour Epoxy Rental $35/board

- 1 Hour YAK Rental $25/board

- 3 Hours Epoxy or Yak $50/board

- 1 Day $85/board (24 hours)

- 1 Day $70/board (Kahuna Kai Location Only, 10:00a.m. - 5p.m.)

- 2+ Days $50/board per day

If you decide to purchase a board after any of our lessons or rentals,
we will apply a credit toward the price of the board.

We are proud to serve the community of Madeira Beach, Kahuna Kai (leader of the water in Hawaiian) Paddle and Beach Shop is located on 13224 Gulf Blvd, just north of John’s Pass, Kahuna Kai will be Stand Up Fitness' primary location for paddle board rentals and lessons. Customers will be able to rent hourly or daily, as well as purchase paddleboards, clothing and accessories. Lessons and rentals are available 7 days a week.

Having access to both the Gulf and intra-coastal makes our hourly rentals convenient and economical for locals and tourists alike. If you are headed to the beach, stop by, rent a board, and hit the water!

We are excited to announce the opening of our second rental facility located in the Clearwater Sailing Center, 1001 Gulf Blvd. Customers will have access to the calm intra-coastal waterways on beautiful Sand Key for both rentals and lessons, available 7 days a week.

If you love paddle boarding already, but are unsure of how to use your skills to get a great workout, then try our Paddle Fit Class; focusing on creative ways to use your paddle board to get the best high intensity workout. The act of balancing while paddling helps to train the body in a fun, new and effective way. Paddle fit will help you add a new dimension to your old training routine and may create a whole new sport to challenge you. Why burn calories at the gym when you can sweat while gliding through the gulf?
